"The Fish Tales of Alaska" by The Unhidden Collective
"Lover, mother, friend and foe, the ocean is brought to strange, sensual, surging life by the dissonant choral harmonies and molten movements of six singers/dancers."
"narrative gold dust"

"He Dreamed Himself" by A Bed TIme Story Collective
"my 3 year old was entranced by the tribal sounds and the hybrid movement. It was like being inside the imagination of an earthy, sensory child. Very refreshing and certainly magical.'
Moira Artistic Director of Air Craft Circus
Possessed is a research and development project exploring human interaction and power struggles.
When do we surrender? When do we fight back? And when are things beyond our control...
Conceived in the fall of 2013 this project was devised collaboratively with the aid of La Manufacture students at La Centre Chorégraphique Vendetta Mathea. I will be returning to France in the spring of 2014 to continue working with the students.
Residency with Companie Vendetta Mathea
October - November 2013
Aurillac France
There are many aspects to my residency in Sitka. Below is a short list of the events I have organised or participated in so far.
-
Baranoff Elementary School Residency - I taught a 5 week workshop in creative moments to the students at Baranoff School.
-
Teaching at the Sitka Fine Arts Camp
-
Adult community dance classes in modern and social dance - These workshops ran from Jan-May 2014.
-
Contemporary point choreography for the Fireweed Dance Theatre - "Waterfall" was created to challenge the dancers movement vocabulary and introduce them to improvisation on point.
-
Silks classes & certification in aerial silks - I started an aerial silks class that meets five times a week. Getting the group up and running has included: sourcing equipment, organising workshops with instructors from outside Alaska, planning and choreographing performances, studying to get my teachers certification in silks, liaising with the Hames Centre on enrolment, health & safety and marketing.
-
Other performing & teaching activities - To date, this has included organising flash mobbing activities, performing at various local venues, teaching for the Sitka Jazz Festival and coaching dance couple for the dancing with Sitkans event funded by greater sitka arts council.
Aerial Silks at the Hames Centre

Sitka Alaska
Frances has been teaching beginner and advanced beginner aerial silks classes at the Hames Wellness Center in Sitka, Alaska since March 2014. Her ongoing weekly classes aims to bring the previously unavailable aerial arts to this rural community.
The video above is a solo performance she did for the Sitka Fine Arts Camp where she worked as a dance instructor.
